Holz Projects is owned by Ron Verkerk, a carpenter and joiner by trade.
Ron began his apprenticeship as a carpenter and joiner out of high school, under his carpenter father, who emigrated to Australia from Utrecht, the Netherlands. He’d been helping his father in the workshop since he was a boy.
Ron has since worked extensively in both the residential building and commercial fit-out sectors, predominantly on high-end projects.
Ron’s passion for joinery and fine, detailed work, as well as his interest in design and innovation, led him to start up Holz Projects in 2020. He is now joined in the business by his partner, Maike, who came from the independent book trade.
Holz Projects is based in Peakhurst, in Sydney’s south, and services the Sydney metropolitan area.
Holz Projects is a member of the Australian Cabinet and Furniture Association (ACFA).
We meet to discuss key elements of design, finishes, and timeline with you, together with your builder/architect as required, at your place or ours, and create concept drawings of your project.
We conduct an on-site check/measure to finalise the shop drawings for manufacturing, to be submitted for your final approval.
Once we have finalised the drawings, finishes, we source the materials and start the manufacturing process at our Peakhurst factory.
Once we have finished manufacturing, consistently ensuring a quality finish with attention to detail, we install your beautiful new joinery on-site.
